Judge Maria C. McLaughlin

Judge McLaughlin has dedicated her legal career in public service. Immediately before being elected to the Superior Court, she was a Judge in the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia. During her tenure on the Philadelphia bench, she presided in Family Court. Prior to joining the bench, Judge McLaughlin was a Chief in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office where she worked for 19 years. She received her bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a law degree from Delaware Law School, Widener University.

Judge McLaughlin was elected to the Superior Court in November 2017 and was sworn in as a member of the Court in January 2018. Her chambers are in Philadelphia.
