Biography
Judge Zoran Popovich was born on February 4, 1931, in Akron, Ohio. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Prior to his judicial service, he served as the Mayor of McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
Judge Popovich was elected to the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County in 1973. He then was appointed to the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in 1980 and was elected to serve a full 10 year term in both 1985 and retained in 1995 for another 10 year term.
Judge Popovich retired from the Superior Court in 2001 and passed away on March 20, 2018.
